Is Your Resume Doing Its Job?

Your resume is a passport to an special destination.  It’s not a piece of paper, or a formality.  It’s a living breathing representation of you: your accomplishments, your motivation, your ability to convey ideas.  It’s a reflection of your communication skills and how you perceive yourself.

It can be an expression of your personality, and whether you see your experience as a collection of opportunities and challenges, or as a series of uninteresting duties that don’t evoke much passion or emotion at all.  One way or the other, it’s going to make an impression within 5-10 seconds.

I’ve been creating resumes for over 30 years – thousands of resumes – for technical and non-technical candidates alike. I am not a graphics arts expert. I do not create unique and exotic configurations. Unless you are involved in fashion or design, unnecessary bells and whistles are more of a distraction than an enhancement.

I am a wordsmith. I blend your skills and personal characteristics in a way that describes your professional journey up to the present day. The resume will be symmetrical and visually balanced. It will incorporate some visual elements, and it will be succinct and pleasing to read, which will never hurt your chances of being invited in for an interview.

The cost of this service is not excessive – roughly $200 depending upon the complexity and length of the resume.

If your resume is not producing interviews, maybe it’s just sick.
